Our story

I started The Loaf Cake Company because my love of baking. Having young children and entertaining all the time I was conscious that shop bought products were not all suitable for vegetarians. At that time cupcakes were all the rage and it was time to bring something freshly home made and free from GM products into the market place. The Loaf Cake Company was born! It all started in December 2008.

All loaf cakes are made by hand in my kitchen at home and I only sell what I bake myself! I use free range eggs and cater for dairy free, egg free, sugar free & gluten free diets (flourless cakes) and I love to bake a traditional flavour cake rather than a plain sponge with fancy butter-cream!

I do all the baking, packing & delivering myself and it is a testament to me that customers keep coming back for more. I sell over 50 different flavoured loaf cakes in mini and large sizes including chocolate chip and mint, almond and cherry, luscious lemon drizzle, rocky road, orange and lime drizzle to name but a few!! You name your ingredients and I'll bake it. I also cater for many festivals throughout the year and run my own cookery parties for children and teach them how to make cakes, biscuits and other lovely treats from scratch!
